Miyuki Bridgewater designs and makes all her bridal gowns personally at her own studio (photos courtesy Miyuki Liem Bridal).

Miyuki Bridgewater has quite a knack for making brides look beautiful. She has hand-designed and created every single bridal gown at Miyuki Liem Bridal, believing that every bride should have a bespoke gown that’s as unique as her individual style and personality. She works with brides-to-be to craft tailor-made designs that fulfill everything they envisioned for their special day. Tailored to fit, her custom wedding gown design service is extremely intimate and personal, and she works with you, accompanying and guiding you every step of the design process, to help create your dream dress.

“Couture is the core of my brand, and I’m very proud of it. I pour all my heart and soul into each and every dress that I make, and I deeply believe that everyone who wears it can feel it and it can bring joy to them. It’s not just another piece of cloth that a machine made,” Bridgewater shares. “The brides and I work together on creating the design of the dress. From there, they can choose and feel what kind of fabric or lace they want. This way, every dress created will be truly theirs and belong to nobody else.”

She’s been in her current space in downtown for almost three years, but thanks to her success, expansion may very well be in the future, as well as her own bridal show. She also launches small annual collections spotlighting her own designs imagined for the current wedding season. Every dress she makes is truly a piece of art: luxury bridal haute couture fit for brides seeking modern and elegant silhouettes that are truly one of a kind.

“Not many people know that I design (sketch, pattern, cutting, sewing) and make all of the dresses by myself at my own studio. I want to keep it this way as long as I can.”
