After-School All-Stars Hawaii All-Star Affair

After-School All-Stars held their eighth annual All-Star Affair gala at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. All-Star students from Wai‘anae Intermediate School and Jarrett middle School in Palolo greeted guests and entertained with hula and breakdancing performances and a Beauty and the Beast musical production. Mayor Kirk Caldwell, State Sen. Donovan Dela Cruz, State Sen. Glenn Wakai, Honolulu city councilwoman Kymberly Pine, and DOE Superintendent Christina Kishimoto helped to celebrate after-school programs for middle-school youth in Hawai‘i’s public schools.
