The resort features 47 plantation-style Ocean Bungalows and 23 low-rise Garden View Suites—all with organic linens and alluring amenities. The sounds of nature reign here, thanks to “unplugged” rooms that come gloriously free of radios, clocks, Internet and TVs. While Ocean Bungalows offer private lanais with panoramic views of the Pacific, Garden Suites have covered porches connected to green spaces, ideal for families.
Cothran’s version of a perfect day here? Watching the sun come up—either leisurely from the lanai of an Ocean Bungalow or, if feeling ambitious, after hiking up to Fagan’s Cross for a bird’s-eye view. Next up: morning yoga and a relaxing breakfast. Afternoons can be spent exploring Hana and adventuring; suggestions include a trip to Hamoa Beach, a tour of Ono Organic Farms and a hike through the bamboo forest. Afterward, folks might enjoy a quick pool dip before getting ready for cocktails and entertainment in the lounge and a fresh, seasonal dinner by chef Bella Toland in The Preserve Kitchen + Bar.
Cothran loves that the resort receives so much praise for the kindness exhibited by its dedicated team.
