Hawaii Opera Theatre’s Opera Ball is one of the grandest events each year, and this year, themed Carmen, did not disappoint. Guests showed up in their finest gowns and tuxes and bid on fine jewelry, art and unique experiences as they sipped on cocktails. Later, they were treated to staged selections from Carmen, the opera that opened the 2017-2018 season. This annual fundraiser allows HOT to provide its programming of four season opera productions as well as the company’s education programs and outreach programs statewide.
