Palama Settlement, the community-based agency that serves the Kalihi and Palama neighborhoods, held its fifth annual Malama Palama Gala recently at Sheraton Waikiki. The organization honored Steven Ai and Carol Ai May of City Mill; and Jim, Sherry and Jarrett Walters of Hawaii Building Maintenance; for their long-standing support of its programs. Proceeds from the event help sustain Palama Settlement’s recreation, afterschool, senior and community programs throughout the year.
