The Queen’s Medical Center honored its founders’ generosity of spirit with its 10th-annual benefit dinner’s theme: An Everlasting Legacy of Giving. Proceeds from this year’s event benefitted the Queen’s Emergency Department and Trauma Center, which is the busiest in the state, tending to more than 66,000 emergency visits (including 2,600 trauma visits) in 2016. Funds raised were applied to Queen’s goal of $900,000 for the future expansion of the emergency department and trauma center. The well-attended evening, held at Sheraton Waikiki Hotel & Resort’s Hawai‘i Ballroom, featured a cocktail reception, dinner service, a live auction and entertainment by Na Leo Pilimehana.
