Hawaii Red Cross’ Centennial Gala, held recently at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel & Resort, highlighted the organization’s “100 years of aloha” in the state. The one-time event, honored Red Cross’ rich history in the islands as well as the many people and local organizations who’ve helped Red Cross’ mission through the years, including: Queen Lili‘uokalani, Duke Kahanamoku, Princess Ka‘iulani and Sen. Daniel Inouye.
