Ballet aficionados feted Ballet Hawaii’s 40th anniversary at its Rubies Gala, held at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel’s Monarch Room. Guests gathered at the Pink Palace for cocktails, entertainment and photobooth fun—complete with jewels (lots of rubies)—before dinner. The live and silent auctions offered up tickets to The Nutcracker; mini-concerts at the Hawaii Theatre Center, or club-level tickets at a Denver Broncos’ game. The scarlet-hued evening ended with many taking a spin on the dance floor, natch.
