The food-festival circuit is heating up.

Feed your spring fever this year by booking a trip to one of the many excellent food and wine festivals on the calendar for this season. From glitzy bashes with star chefs and globetrotting winemakers to festivals that highlight local culture and restaurants, there’s gastronomic get-together for everyone.

PEBBLE BEACH FOOD & WINE

The Pebble Beach Food & Wine festival (April 9-12) kicks off the spring lineup with a star-studded affair. Now in its eighth consecutive year, the event features its signature mix of well-established chefs, including Daniel Boulud and José Andrés, with buzzy rising stars, such as Jenn Louis (Lincoln Restaurant, Portland) and Dominique Crenn (Atelier Crenn, San Francisco). Standout wine events include a tasting of California’s Kosta Browne, Champagne Billecart-Salmon and Burgundy’s Domaine Faiveley. pbfw.com

AUSTIN FOOD + WINE FESTIVAL

Culinary luminaries gather in Texas’ capital for the Austin Food + Wine Festival (April 24-26). The all-star roster includes Andrew Zimmern of the Travel Channel’s “Bizzare Foods,” Tony Mantuano of Chicago’s Spiaggia, and home-state hero Tim Love of the Lonesome Dove Western Bistro in Forth Worth. Highlights of the festival tout southern flair, with a taco celebrity chef cook-off and seminars on achieving the perfect grill technique. True to Austin’s musical roots, many components will have a live performance built in for local flavor. austinfoodandwinefestival.com
