HILuxury. The name pretty much says it all.

As a tourist destination, Oahu is first rate. But many of the things that make the island such a great tourist destination are what make living on the island first rate as well. Great dining. Great shopping. Great people.

This new magazine is all about living the life, highlighting all that makes Oahu what it is. It’s about the best of the best.

Our first cover feature profiles the world’s most famous chef, Nobu Matsuhisa. Perfect timing as the latest incarnation of Nobu is making its debut on the island in June as well. Chef Nobu is a trail-blazer of contemporary Japanese cuisine and his style has been copied throughout the world. Honolulu has always been noted for its fine dining, but Nobu puts the island onto a higher plane.

The new restaurant, at the Waikiki Parc Hotel, adds to the luster of a dining scene that already includes Le Mer, and Orchids, among others. It will certainly attract not only the who’s who of the Honolulu social scene, but also celebrities and the “beautiful people” from around the world as well.

Besides our cover feature, HILuxury magazine will inform our readers on the many other aspects of what makes Oahu what it is. We’ll show you the beautiful homes, the latest in fashions, exotic rides, relaxing spa treatments and high-end shopping destinations in our Lux departments. We’ll profile artists, philanthropists and up-and coming-business people in our Oahu on the Spot “section” and give you great shopping ideas in the “H List.”

Of course, we’ll profile great chefs and dining experiences, tapping into the knowledge and connections of local writer Jo McGarry. We’ll offer up a comprehensive dining guide and some interesting entertainment options as well.
