Salon shines in Ala Moana Center

There could be no more fitting home for The House of Harry Winston than the jewel box of a salon at one of the busiest corners of Ala Moana Center.

Built on the legacy of the jeweler known as “The King of Diamonds,” the Winston reputation demanded a luxurious space to contain the house’s precious jewelry and exquisite timepieces, recognized for unparalleled craftsmanship and design, and use of the finest quality stones.

The store’s design was inspired by the stylish elegance of a mid-20-th century French residence, with high ceilings, a spacious and flowing floor plan, and the House of Harry Winston’s signature French Provincial golden bow design over glass showcases that mimic Harry Winston’s favorite cut of stone, the octagonal emerald cut.

Luxury is also conveyed through the purity of cream-colored walls, a mix of milky suede and champagne-colored satin sofas and cushions swathed in silver-and-gold fabric patterned after silk brocades.

Display tables of Chinese black lacquer and brass conjure the opulence of aristocratic France, and currently showcase the house’s dramatic Vines Collection of cascading diamonds, reminiscent of champagne grapes ripening on the vine. Also on view are the romantic Lace Collection; Harry Winston’s classic diamond Cluster Collection, a perennial red-carpet favorite of celebrities; as well as fancy color diamond necklaces, engagement rings and timepieces set with diamonds.

Among the benefits of living in the Islands is access to Harry Winston jewelry created exclusively for overseas markets, but available in Hawaii because of our close ties to the Asia market. This includes a rare opportunity to claim a diamond ring bearing an “HW” logo setting otherwise unavailable to buyers in the United States.
