“Waste no more time arguing about what a good man should be. Be one.”
— Marcus Aurelius, Roman emperor and philosopher

In the past three years, HILuxury has shared examples of what good living is and what the good life is all about. Moving forward, we all know that change is inevitable, and that change is good. As you will see in this and future issues, our creative team is in overdrive, developing ideas and themes that fit the growth of the magazine while still maintaining our excellence in editorial content and photography.

We’ve enhanced some of your favorite columns, and in this issue, we introduce to you some new columns as well. Meet George Ing, our new etiquette guru, on page 114. He will offer commentary on everything from dining to party attire and will answer any of your etiquette questions.

Our “Men’s Issue” is proud to feature Hannah Cornett as our swimsuit model. The pro surfer, tri-athlete, model/actress and strong supporter of Tag the World is helping Hawaii’s foster children from Waianae learn that they too can reach their own dreams. In this “Men’s Issue,” you also can take a peek into some unique “man caves,” get your testosterone moving in the Maserati GranCabrio and plan your next vacation to Chicago, home of professional sports all year long and many other activities and world-class events.

We also interview actor Nestor Carbonell for our cover story. As a cast member on Lost, Nestor has enjoyed filming the TV show in Hawaii. He shares with us some of his favorite Island places to visit, and he brings a little bit of New York City to our pages with the latest fall looks for men.

I personally want to thank all those who have graced our past covers, our talented team of writers and photographers, and our advertisers for their support. But mostly I wish to thank all of our readers who continue to share their passion of living well. We hope you enjoy this issue of HILuxury, and we look forward to bringing you more new and exciting features to come.

Sincerely,
Dennis E. Francis
