This fall, layer it on with cozy cargo coats, trim blazers and not-so-conventional outerwear.

When the mercury never dips much below the 70s, there’s not much need for layering, even in the heart of a Hawai’i winter.

But, global warming has many a designer thinking cool, making new winter-time staples out of lightweight jackets, draped coats that skim rather than encase the body, lightweight knits and breathable cottons. Or, skip the jacket and throw on a vest that adds a touch of style without the weight of extra sleeves.

ABOUT THE SETTING

Our men’s fashions were showcased within the sculpture-filled gardens of the Honolulu Museum of Art’s Spalding House, located along the slopes of Tantulus. Spalding House is home to art galleries, a permanent installation of David Hockney’s L’Enfant et les sortilèges and the Spalding House Café.
