Behind the Score Board

Ready to take your pro ballpark game-day experience to the next level? Look no further than The Gotham Club.

The 2014 World Series-winning San Francisco Giants’ Gotham Club has exactly what you’re looking for—and its elite membership program certainly has its privileges.

Originally, in 1883, millionaire magnate John B. Day and manager Jim Mutrie founded the club on the East Coast. At the time, the Giants were called the New York Gothams Baseball Club, “The Gotham Club.” Then, in 1885, the franchise name was changed after an extra-innings win that inspired Mutrie to declare: “My big fellows, my giants!” In 1957, the New York Giants made their way out west to San Francisco, where they toiled for 52 seasons to become world champs.

“The Gotham Club grew out of our commitment to celebrate the 132-year history going back to the New York Gothams and the New York Giants before the franchise moved west,” Giants CEO Larry Baer says of the exclusive organization.

As a preferred Gotham member, you’ll enter bayside AT&T Park via your own private entrance and enjoy game-day access to three ultra-VIP areas to entertain and imbibe, including The Clubhouse, The Bullpen and The Game Room.

Nestled behind the out-of-town scoreboard in the outfield, The Clubhouse—a chic, full-service bar and private dining room—is an elegant way to watch a game, featuring sweeping views of the plush field and famous McCovey Cove. Grab its baseball-themed take on an Old Fashioned, dubbed the No. 24, chilled with ball-shaped ice cubes.

Next, situated along the right field warning track, The Bullpen puts you right into the heart of the action. Catch Hunter Pence, Buster Posey and the rest of the 2015 roster chatter as they warm up and take pregame batting practice.

Finally, The Game Room is a luxury VIP lounge that includes a billiards table, a few bowling lanes and vintage parlor games. There are even classic arcade games, like “Golden Tee,” “Donkey Kong” and “Ms. Pac-Man,” to play for hours. It’s an old-school way to relax and unwind during a nail-biting home game against the Giants’ diehard rivals—the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In addition to all the premier game-day access, you’ll get invited to monthly club social events, like on-field dinners, baseball road trips, live concerts, spirit tastings, an ongoing celebrity chef series and so much more. You’re sure to rub elbows with former and existing Giants players and coaching staff, who all enjoy instant membership to this elite circle.

Gotham Club membership includes three signature tiers: Individual (you plus a guest); Individual + 3 (you plus three guests); and Gotham 5 (you plus up to five guests).
